Ep. 195: The Toledo Scene

Ol’ Cumulus hosts sans Parker this week, but he’s joined by one of the oldest friends of the show, Jon Holmes.

Jason and Jon talk about all the challenges and changes in the world of stand-up comedy. Jon recounts a recent impromptu trip to New York, and Jason becomes stunned at the idea of some new ownership at a classic Dayton comedy club and what that means for the future of Cab Calloway intro music.

They also talk about Cincinnati a great deal, because it deserves the spotlight sometimes. And somebody was hit by a car there.

And after the sign off, there's a recording of Jon's stand up from Sabbatical in Indianapolis. Dig it!

Ep. 140: The Jon Holmes Show

Frisbie and Parker are taking the week off to enjoy a traditional Wookie celebration of Life Day, so their best friend, comedian Jon Holmes, volunteered to do the episode for us.

Jon does a Good, The Bad, The Ugly for Parker and Frisbie and tells tales of rapping, ruining relationships, coffee table destruction, hallucinations, air guitars and neglect. Also, he's very very drunk. And Producer Muhammad is his guest co-host!

Donloyd Here if you see dead bodies every day.

Leave us a rating or review on iTunes as an Xmas present or email us at poolpartyradio at gmail dot com to let us know if you like our show or to remind Frisbie to become SawFan667 and embrace his destiny.

Ep. 92: Snow White Tan

We're joined by drunken comedian/friend of the show Jon Holmes this week to run down the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of the year that was 2012. Well, not the ugly stuff, I guess. We list our good and bad things that happened in Music, Movies, TV, the Internet and Real Ass Life. We argue about British bands, Psy, Mars, Dubstep, James Van Der Beek and a bunch of other crap.

We also tell some stories about the holidays that involve snowy hills and being an asshole. Also, Jon Holmes becomes an advocate for the most important cause of 2013.

Ep. 67: The Ketamine Salesman

It’s a Parker-less episode of Pool Party Radio this week as Frisbie joins forces with the one and only Jon Holmes! Jason takes his new sense of power into overblown proportions and Jon talks his blazing through to Round Two of The Funniest Person in Cincinnati competition at Go Bananas! Comedy Club. If you're in Cinci, you can see his set and vote for him on July 25th!

The gang also discusses the now dull topic of ethical stand-up comedy and get down and dirty Lightning Round. News stories included are a former porn-star gets the blood rushing, a lady in Australia fakes bowl cancer to avoid charges of being a jerk, an employee of Facebook thinks she’s better than a yoga instructor, and a Facebook user gets ‘To-Catch-a-Predator’-ed.

Also, this episode is in glorious stereo sound, which was purely an accident on Jason’s part. Apologies for the weird sound.

Ep. 33: A Study in Scarlet

Parker takes to name-dropping people for fun this week and Frisbie didn't die of starvation. Then Parker wants to replace Thanksgiving with something new and exciting and needs help deciding between two new Holiday traditions. He also tells some very fun and soul-damaging Thanksgiving stories. Also, we're introduced to a new character on the show: Sherlock Homophobia.

On this week's Lightning Round Sasha Grey reads to students (about penis?), midgets may not understand fiction, Frisbie's hometown is infected by bath salt addicts and PETA is still a bunch of crazy stupids. Also: We have a new editorial by the world's only living Andy Rooney, Jon Holmes.

Ep. 28: Classy and Sophisticated

We forgive all the people we've banned on the show! And as such, we're joined by Jon Holmes and Jenny Mac this week. We talk about breaking tail bones, Frisbie's need for muscles and a beard and vodka's party implications.

The Lightning Round includes the new Rapture date is announced, an Iranian actress gets an ironic punishment, Joe Biden might murder you, a balloon-less world. We also talk about Bigfoot for a while, Parker hates someone on Tumblr, everyone takes Dr. Drew's Narcissism test and some surprising results are produced. Then Frisbie Got Mail!

Ep. 24: Bizarro World

Frisbie takes this week off (probably because he's busy having threesomes), leaving Parker all alone. All alone with guest-host Jon Holmes, that is! New eye-wear has changed Parker's life and Jon hates unfunny old people. He also passes judgement on Parker after hearing a dentist story.

We're then joined by ol' buddy GeeGee to talk about him being the 439th best wrestler in the world, Chyna and backyard wrestling. We then discuss which wrestlers we would and would not want to be stuck in the "Real World" house with.

The Lightning Round is full of stalkers, fatties, Orwellian futures and rich people. Oh! And we have another instalment of everyone's newest, favorite segment: Frisbie Got Mail!

Episode 15: Al Jolson

This week, we're joined by pro wrestler Gee Gee Bradley to talk about CM Punk's gay slur, cage matches and getting beat up by trainers. We also dig into the Black Eyed Peas' break up, the Evil Dead remake and Michelle Bachman's gay slurs.

We also discuss what we learned this week, which includes Jason getting slightly less depressed than usual and slightly more angry. We also play a round of everyone's favorite hypothetical party game: Party Purgatory. Also, we talk about California's inevitable split into two states and we answer the eternal question: Do Koreans wear swim suits?

Oh, and we have a new editorial from Jon Holmes (but he's still banned from being on the actual show).

Episode 13: Laugh Out Loud

This week, we're joined by show regular, Jon Holmes, for our most hastily thrown together show yet.

Parker issues Jason a spooky challenge and gives more thought to the meanest thing he's ever done. Then we discuss whether we can or can't beat up our dads. Parker brings up his disappointment with Steve Martin, which bums everyone out and then there's a huge Lightning Round full of Chris Hansen's ironic downfall and complaining about PETA and Marc Maron. There's also a big Myspace discussion and it gets harder and harder to defend Tracy Morgan.

Episode Nine: Finally Macho

This week we're joined by show regular Jon Holmes as we talk about our boring, oddly blue collar weeks, Parker's wife's scary dreams and ghosts.

We also talk about wrestler Chyna's new porn career (which depresses Jason) and Rep. Anthony Weiner's twitter boner. Pun intended. We then discuss the past few months of the life of one of Parker's heroes, Ben Weasel, and things turn real dark real quick when we get on the topic of fighting girls over abortions. Spoiler Alert: Jason gets real depressed by all of this.

Email us at poolpartyradio at gmail.com , if ya want. And tune in next week for our "Saved by the Bell" super-show!
