Ep. 259: Ghoul Summer

It’s Ghoul Summer, weirdoes! And—hoo, boy—PPR is going to…um…acknowledge it by watching a "film" from notorious ghoul director, Bill Zebub. Parker and Cumulus sorta watch Frankenstein the Rapist while highlighting some parts of the movie, but they find themselves mostly talking over it and going down the familiar tangents of personal anecdotes, MVPPs (as well as MVPPs), and what makes this summer so ghoulish. Also, they are pleased to reveal another installment of Vaughn’s/Wayne’s report of the Podcast Town Report.

Donloyd Here if you've got a ghoulish vacation destination.

Ep. 256: Toy Art

What’s up, youths?! This week, Parker and Cumulus discuss Snapchats, re-visit Carlos Danger, and ponder the coolest pool pranks from Hackers that didn’t translate to personal school experiences. Then they jump into a X-Men: Apocalypse SPOILER FEST—Note that if you plan to see the movie and not have it spoiled, you’ll want to skip the 17-47 range of minute markers.

They also get into some MVPP vs. MVPPs, which contains toy art photographers, Canadian musicians, dance programs with kids, and people at zoos.

Donloyd Here if you thought you could dance at 8 years of age.

Ep. 255: Trailer Apologists

Rock the vote, y’all! This week, Parker and Cumulus dig into politics and decide that the best candidate is a meme candidate. Parker learns the politics of fashion when he commits to letting everyone know what kind of movies he’s into by putting a Spookies back patch on his jacket. Cumulus considers the politics of taco truck drinks when he finds that not all horchata is created equal. And then they have a heated analysis of their MVPP vs. MVPP. It’s a doozy, folks!

Donloyd Here if you're perplexed by Pokémens these days.

Ep. 253: Narc Kids

We’re back! This week, Parker and Cumulus talk about their viewings of Purple Rain and how they’ll likely see it again while it’s still in theaters, because why not?

They also get an email from the scumdogs over at GWARcast with pics of their scum...cat? What we mean is that they sent a photo of their cat for PPR to review, and not to spoil anything, but this is a pretty rad cat.

Then they get into their MVPP and MVPP choices for the week. Will Parker have some choice words for rally attendees? Will Cumulus point out the lame attempts at controversial tweets from a talking head? Listen to find out!

All of this plus T-shirts and koozers are still available at HideTheBodies!

Donloyd Here if you're not called "old fashioned".

Ep. 252: Lip Smackers

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today for another episode of Pool Party Radio.

This week, Parker and Cumulus have some ads to run, but they find time to recap the week's events, present TV Pilot Hostage, and recount their MVPP vs. MVPP choices for the week.

And as a reminder, you have until Sunday April 24 11:59PM EST to order PPR shirts and PPR koozers from Hide The Bodies Press and art by Chuck Linington.

Donloyd Here if you don't dance shame.

Ep. 250: Hot Chicken

We’re back! And we’ve got a guest: Podcast Town resident and cool BMX dad, Stephen!

Also, we now have PPR t-shirts!!!

And PPR Koozers!!!

As is tradition recently, we hear out Stephen’s new laws, which diverges into a variable what’s what of food.

We then get into our MVPP vs. MVPPs and some listener emails! Check it out!

Music: "Enjoy Yourself" by Saint Pepsi

Saints alive! It’s a new episode of Pool Party Radio!

This week, Parker and Cumulus go over some MVPPs as well as some MVPPs. Will prowrestlers make the list? What about those DC Comics fans? Perhaps a clever sound engineer after Cumulus’s own heart? Tune in to find out!

Music: "Steele" by mcDJ

Ep. 245: Valdez Nuts

It’s a changing of the guard as Shallbie Culottes decides to retire as host from Pool Party Radio and hands the reigns over to his final guests, Parker and Cumulus! And if that weren’t enough, this new show has a new producer! Long live the new co-hosts of Pool Party Radio!

They start their new brand with an MVPP vs. MVPP, which gets them all sorts of heated, be it about regular-ass donuts or even differing opinions about writing and publishing. Some things are said, some people are called “jocks”, and some feelings get hurt. But then they get sidetracked with some top-notch sexual-identity chat and things cool off. Enjoy!

Music: "II" by Ulthar

We’re back! And we’ve got amicable resolutions! Cumulus relates his attending a live pro-wrestling event. Then, Parker and Frisbie realize that they attended the same live pro-wrestling taping 15 years ago. What a world!

Parker receives a compliment and a question from a Sandwich Artist, Cumulus was wrong about something, and we’ve also got MVPP vs. MVPP.

Donloyd Here if you're a regular Rumplestiltskin.

Ep. 238: Clausplayer

We’re back and we’ve brought our non-holiday affiliated “Yule log” with us, because irony or something! This week, special guest Sammy of the Howl Horror Program and Back to Life Podcast joins us! We learn Sammy’s laws, which include a mandatory Creed adventure for all citizens upon graduating high school, as well as some education reform to ensure that people know how to not mess up their home lives.

Then we get into some MVPP vs. MVPP: Holiday Edition! The gang talks good Santa Clausplayers, parents who are the REAL MVP(P)s this year, people who don’t give the run-around with gift giving, and then they rail on all those that not only get the Christmas spirit, but get hells of religious, too.

Plus, there’s a dog review featuring one of the most depressed Santa Clausplayers around!

Donloyd Here if you think Johnny Cakes are the food of the future.

Ep. 236: Sad Chat

We’re back! Parker and Cumulus have a Cranksgiving hangover, so after listening to another unusual voicemail intercepted by listener Danny and sharing their tough experiences during the toughest of Jason Statham-themed holidays, Parker brings up the emotional toughness of the movie Creed and asks what other films, books, etc., make even the most hard-assed person cry noble tears.

Then they go over their MVPP vs. MVPP for the week. Parker has an ethical question about puppy euthanasia and Frisbie has a problem with journalists. They also have an email about the consequences of being tough from listener Matthew.

Donloyd Here if you're just looking for the ethical answers.

Ep. 228: Strong Politics

Frisbie is using up some of his vacation time, so Parker is joined by Chris Robo and Katie Rots of Rotten Rantings. Scratch that. Chris Robo and Katie Rots of the brand new Casual Encounters podcast.

We talk a bit about their new podcast. Parker doesn't think Craiglist is real. But, is it? Are the casual encounters just murder traps? We also do a Good, the Bad, the Ugly about websites. Well, Parker does. No one else did. We recall a time on the internet when it was OK to make fun of people and talk some shit about message board fans of Rick & Morty.

Then Robo and Katie do an MVPP and MVPP. We salute American heroes and shame American dickheads. And then Katie gets into some super #StrongPolitics that Parker and Robo don't agree with.

All this and more! Also, check out next week's last episode ever of Rotten Rantings, with Parker as the guest!

Donloyd Here to officially own Pool Party.

It's not too late to buy a Ghoul Summer shirt or join Podcast Town for more #StrongPolitics!

Ep. 227: You Didn't Know That?

It's a jam-packed show these week! We're joined by PJ Ahlers of the I'm Dying Here podcast. PJ also used to do the Planned Brotherhood podcast in the old days, which was one of the main influences of Pool Party. In honor of his old podcast that he did with his brother, we do a Good/The Bad/the Ugly with siblings from TV and Movies. How do Pete and Pete rank up? What siblings ruined a great sci fi show and how will Parker shoe-horn in another Bret Easton Ellis conversation?

After that and a quick round of Wack Chat, We do an MVPP and MVPP, recounting the week's cool guys and lame dudes. Spoiler alert: All the turtles became extinct.

Then PJ tells us about his new (amazing) podcast, I'm Dying Here, about his diagnosis of terminal cancer, how he's been living with it, how "Tourists" have been ruining his days and his decision to make a podcast about. Go listen to it.

Download Here if you embarrassed yourself by being in Boondock Saints.

Ep. 226: Frisbie of Love

We're back and, boy, are we heated!

Frisbie tells a story about a friendship ended by not seeing eye to eye on a certain tv show. How it ends will shock you. And you may cry.

Then we do TV Hostage. Parker reviews The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Are the characters too retarded? Is there comedy to be found in the lives of former cult members and affluent New Yorkers? Does Parker relate to Kimmy? Then, Frisbie watched one of Parker's favorite TV shows of all time: Rock of Love. Is Brett Michaels a villain? Who threatened Frisbie with a good time? Who would be Frisbie's Rock of Love. We answer all these questions!

Then we do a quick MVPP and MVPP. It's mostly just Parker being really heated about people selling bootleg T-shirts and then Muhammad doesn't show up. We really should have invited him in hindsight. Oh well.

Donloyd Here if you think we're your Rock of Love.

You can still buy Ghoul Summer Shirts (we get a percentage and have a right to sell them) and join Podcast Town if you're cool.

Ep. 225: TBH ASMR IMO

Parker and a dash of Cumulus revisit their wholly unique segment, TV Hostage, this week. Will Parker watch the Donal Logue video vehicle, Terriers? Will Frisman finally admit that he’s seen Entourage? These questions will be answered, as well as who are this week’s MVPPs and MVPPs.

Also, they get a request via email to decide once and for all whether or not ASMR videos are pornographic. The answer may (or may not) surprise you!

Donloyd Here if you like (*whisper whisper*).

Email us pics of dogs, questions, comments. Also like us on Facebook and join us at Podcast Town, also on Facebook.

Ep. 224: An F-5!

We're back! We have a cool new theme song thanks to Cory from Illogical Contraption! Listen to his podcast.

We do a round of the MVPP and the MVPP. We celebrate some newly found best friends from the Podcast Town facebook group you should join. We get upset about indie horror movies making fake social media accounts to hype their dumb movies. And Frisbie gets super heated about the movie "The Gift."

We do a Lightning Round. Not that kind. A Lightning Round of reviewing the dozens of dogs that have been posted in Podcast Town. Old dogs. Hairless dogs. Smart dogs. We got enough dogs to choke a camel.

Also, we tell some tales about Parker's worst roommate and some less bad roommates who did some wacky shit. Are F-5s possible in real life? Find out!

Donloyd Here and then pretend like nothing ever happened.

Like us on Facebook and then join Podcast Town (just search for it) and then be our friends till the end. Hidey Ho!

Ep. 222: Necessary Evil

Lock up your minions, because we're back! This week, Parker and a dash of Cumulus accidentally devote an entire episode to MVPP vs. MVPP. Needless to say, both dudes are pretty heated about some folks, and said folks are mostly on Twitter.
...And they're narcs.
...And they're awful.
And is John Henson rolling in his grave?
But despite all of the heated-ness toward the despicable MVPPs, who on earth could be the praise-worthy MVPPs?! You'll have to listen to find out!

Music: "Sidehackers" by Ghoul

Donloyd Here if you're a necessary evil.

Ep. 221: The Reefer-al Program

Parker and Frisman are old grandpas this week. We have some real grievances to air about these young kids. What are they doing on Tumblr? Why do they like porn so much? Why aren't they goth?

Also: Stories about discovering pornography, Interstitial Music, Ghoul Summer secrets. We also invent a new segment: The MVPP and the MVPP, where we list the week's Pool Partiers and Party Poopers. All this and a new development regarding Parker's life coach!

Donloyd Here if you're horny. Or a child. But not both.

Go to junkfooddinner.com and buy a Ghoul Summer shirt. Or at least a beer koozy, eh?
